Triton has been awarded the national contract to protect all British Steel sites in the United Kingdom. Find out what British Steel CEO Ron Deelen had to say.
As part of the deal, Triton will provide 24-hour security at the Scunthorpe integrated steelworks site in North Lincolnshire, as well as at British Steel’s Special Profiles operation at Skinningrove in North Yorkshire, it’s Special Profiles Darlington site and it’s TSP Engineering business in Workington, West Cumbria.
“Securing our sites and assets is vitally important to us,” explained British Steel CEO Ron Deelen.
“Triton have worked with us throughout the recent global pandemic to help us meet the changing needs of our business and have proved to be responsive and reliable.
“We look forward to working with them to further enhance our site security with new vehicles and personnel trained to the highest standard.”
Triton will provide three new state-of-the-art vehicles and an enhanced training package for around 80 security staff, who will transfer from the previous service provider.
“We are delighted to be the security provider for British Steel” explained Group Sales Director, Lauren Paver.
“This new relationship shines a light on the high standard of our operations team, processes and innovation that we all work so hard to keep market-leading.
“I know our operations lead for British Steel, Richard Braithwaite, will focus the team to deliver a continually developing security operation.”
